Carl Hood netted 14 points for Marist (13-6, 7-4 MAAC), which also got 13 points, 11 assists and five steals from Jared Jordan.

Andre Collins poured in 30 points in the setback for Loyola-Maryland (11-8, 5-6). The only other double-digit scorer for the Greyhounds is Shane James, as he scored 12 points off the bench.

Marist connected on 60 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, including a 7-of-11 effort from three-point range, and the squad led 42-31 at intermission.

The Red Foxes sealed their victory with a 57.9 percent effort from the floor over the final 20 minutes.

Marist won the game despite finishing with 19 fewer field goal attempts than Loyola-Maryland.
