God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace:  We thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friendswithout which there would be no life.
We thank you for the mystery of creation: for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy
that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with  onder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves.
We thank you for setting us in communities: for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily  asks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow  n understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future.
We thank you for this day: for life and one more day to love, for opportunity and one more  day to work for justice and peace, for neighbors and one more person to love and by whom be loved, for your grace and one more experience of your presence, for your promise: to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation.

 It was an interesting day. I went top TriCities and got some health food and ate at Casa Mia. It was all right but not my favorite. I grabbed an ice cone and headed to WalMart for some groceries and last minutes things – some candy for the scale house. I heard from Wes before I left and he said he had visited his dad and he was all right but he had an issue with his eye surgery. There was a blood clot behind his lens. I am not sure how serious it is. I guess it costs about $3000.00 a month to keep him in the nursing home. Nolan called and said he had 87 days left. He hoped to have another $1500. to add to his nest egg if his court case does not use it all up. I wrote MM but have heard nothing back but that is okay. I will stay on Mikey’s case. I feel a little weak and dizzy at times today. I am self-medicating and I am not sure it is a good idea but I would like to wean myself off some of this medicine. I called Mikey at seven forty and he eventually answered. He said that the weekend had gone okay. He said that he was going out for football and he wanted me to send him a fifty dollar card that he could use at Big Five Sport Store. I told him I would. He wanted to know when I thought it would be there and I told him I would work on it tomorrow night after work and it should be there is a day or two. That will pretty much take care of next weekend. I will send him some spending money later. It is great that he is going to be playing some football. I think he will learn some important things if he sticks with it. Here is hoping anyway.
