Angels keep the roof over our head. And the sun and the stars and the moon. Our words misunderstand us. In simple obedience to the One who gave His life so that we might live eternally, we should desire to abandon all we know for the unknown of giving our lives away for Him. Not just feeding the hungry, but entering into their hunger with them. Not just clothing them, but experiencing what it is like to want for basic necessities. Not just appeasing our conscience by writing a check, but by actually entering into their reality, a reality that needs to see Jesus.
Trying to figure out what is motivating other people is a waste of your time, so if you have been wringing your hands over a mysterious situation, stop. If someone isn't going to tell you what you need to know, they aren't going to tell you -- no matter how long you wait or how many hoops you jump through. Move on today, and disengage from such childlike behavior. They have been having too much fun stringing you along, and you're no puppet. Too bad for them.You'll struggle during this slow business day. This may be a sign that you may need to find other avenues of income. Do not overextend your limits financially, as this could create problems further down the road. You may have trouble relaxing and enjoying your leisure time.
It was a fairly busy day. I had to send all the emails out and that took longer than it should have. Tom came up and said that Alan and John were looking at double wides to put out here. They are looking to move the scales and office nearer the mill so that it would cut down on the driving to weight shit and it would be handier all the way around. There has been talk before but who know what will happen. I have been postponing doing much about Joel’s writing. I think I will sit on it for a while. In the first place I don’t have the bucks to keep him going and I need to use all I can on Mikey. I looked up a violin and I could get a small one for about $80.00, which is better than the motorbike but probably not as much fun. I need to stop and get some batteries and toilet cleaner. Maybe some sunflower seeds. I called Mikey and he actually answered. So that was good. He said he rode his bike again today and he has run it down a couple of times apparently. I got some batteries and have the pictures on my computer. |
