An interesting start to the day when I got the papers wrapped this morning and the car would not start. All of the noises and lights worked. I tried the gift of the auxiliary battery you plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Nothing. I read the directions and you are supposed to wait 35 minutes. I finally notice the East Oregonian carrier van stopping at Safeway so I asked them for a jump. They did not have a set of jumper cables but I did. It started right up so I guess it means that the battery has a weak cell and I need to get new one. I hate to be at the mercy of unreliable equipment. It is bad enough being out there that time of morning and then have things go wrong without much help about. I guess I lucked out again.

I got an email from Art suggesting that I take in the bull riding again. I think it is in Yakima and probably doable. It may be the same weekend as the football exhibition game. Nancy and family are supposed to come up next weekend and Art said they would probably come down. It would be nice to see them all again.

I bought a new battery, had lunch, and went down to walk for a while in the nature trails. It was a nice day but it felt cool enough to have the jacket zipped.

I came home and wrote a letter to Michael. I think it was a good enough letter. I hope it buoys up his spirit. I think he needs to be more positive in his thinking and realize that he has the power to do whatever he wants to do and a lot of the shit he suffers through is brought about by himself. I am in hopes that he gets the message. I sent some money off to him and Nolan yesterday that should last them for a couple of weeks.

I watched video The Last Kiss it was an Italian movie with subtitles about several young Italian guys who were having a struggle to make commitments to relationships and marriage. Three of the guys went travelling around the world and the main character cheated on his girl-friend who is pregnant. He finally got his head on straight and came back to have a good enough relationship and marriage. I guess the whole point was that there is no definite universal  solution to how people handle relationship.

I got an email from Steve but did not hear anything from Art.
