I drove to work in the dark again. I was just beginning to enjoy the early morning light and now we have to wait a couple of weeks. Of course, I am going to be enjoying the extra daylight after work.

There does not seem to be much going on today. I had a time getting the correct time on the scale head - finally I punched the right buttons. I need to get Mike's newspaper going again. There are the weekly spreadsheets that must be done and I would like to get three good sets of exercise.

I was right there was not much going on. I called the paper and they don't take credit cards for delivery in Salem. Then why did they accept the subscription? I was able to hear an answering service and got the necessary details. $75.00 for three month seems a little steep but then he will nearly be out by that time. He will actually only have about six weeks left. Anyway he should be getting it sometime later this week if all goes as planned.

Tom held me up for a while talking about his Scout dinner Friday night. He seemed overly negative. I did not ask about his diet because it seems to bug him. I guess he rode around with Dennis on Friday and they made some tentative plans and that probably will be about as close to a business plan they will ever have. There are some potential customers visiting this week so a lot of cleaning has been going on.

Rick came by and picked up the tickets. He was telling me about a potato planter that is guided by GPS and had planted 1032 acres in two days. The operator sits backwards on the machine and watches a screen that gives the depth and distance between plants. If there is a problem the whole thing shuts down until it is solved. They are able to plant across a circle or go round and round. The whole farming operation is absolutely amazing any more. I would think that the need for illegal immigrants is fast fading into the past.

Tom was back in the afternoon and his attitude had not improved that much. I am not sure what his problem is. He got his pickup back today and he had nothing positive to say about how it turned out. I got two sets of exercises and walked the loop after work. I had .83 mile on the pedometer.

Nolan tried to cal this evening but the call was dropped or if it was Joel he hung up before I could answer. The phone did not ring but just rang for a missed call. So I am not exactly sure who it was.

I watched the video Secondhand Lions about two old great uncles taking in a young kid and ended up raising him. I thought it was one of the better ones - even though the script had some soft spots.

Positive Memory Moment today was getting thanked by a high school kid for holding the post office door for him
