| My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later. |

I have tried to add two photos and it is not working tonight for some reason. It is a Monday and I forgot to set the alarm to end the nap and overslept by about five minutes. I decided to cut the stretches short and head out to work. There does not seem to be much activity over the weekend and that is good. I am looking forward to the trip to Salem on Friday. I hope that Michael is impressed and all goes well. Then on Saturday I will be going up to Moses Lake for some bull riding with Art and Ellie. So I am going to have a busy weekend and the week should go by fairly fast. I was right the new comforter is too heavy and I will have to get something else for the summer months. I would like to find a nice quilt but they seem to be rather scarce. I'll just have to keep my eye peeled as Mom used to say. Around noon Bob called me and said he was going through Hermiston and wondered where I was. I told him but he had already missed me. Later I guess he got to thinking about it and called me back to say that he would drop by and see me. After a bit he showed up and he stayed a couple of hours and shot the BS with me. He had gone to Portland to go to a basketball game with Robert. He said that he had a good time and enjoyed himself. He said that he was going to do it again. He had a lot of stories to tell that Richie was tired of his Dad and was going to get married. He will be 18 in August - if not married then move in with the girl friend. Shelby is going to Hawaii with her mother. Robert will be going to New York City next week to finally make that trip. He seemed proud and impressed that they were all moving around and going here and there. I think it is fun to talk to him and I thoroughly enjoyed it. David Headings called from Grand Junction. He was David's uncle and I was very surprised to hear from him because I figured he did not like me very much. He was looking to see if I had any information about MaryEllen. I was able to give him her cell phone number and hoped that they were able to get in touch. I thought that I might give her a call later on this evening to see if he had indeed made contact. This has been a pretty exciting day. I got a letter from Michael and he had the books already I guess and at least one of the art books. He seemed thrilled by the whole situation. I hope he is getting newspaper now. He seems pretty well situated now and he is looking at four and a half months. I called Mary Ellen to see if David had contacted her. He hadn't so I gave her his phone number. She called me back and said that they were going to meet tomorrow at their hotel. I hope things go well. I watched Raising Heroes and this was a good story with a gay theme about two guys trying to adopt a dead friend's kid and they get involved with a group of mobsters and have all sorts of difficulties. Naturally it comes out okay in the end - actually a little bloody for my tastes but it was better than most. Memorable Positive Moment of the day - it had to be hearing from David Headings. I had sort of given up ever hearing from them again. I figured they did not like me very much and I guess I could not blame them too much. Actually it was rather a positive day all the way around. | ||
