Art had invited me up to see the Annual Bull Riding. I left the house around two thirty and headed north. I had finished a letter to Michael and sent him a couple copies of the werewolf picture he had sent. I think that sketch would be hard to live with but then everyone has a different taste.
I got to Moses Lake around five and after he went back to the house to get the tickets we ate some prime rib and got caught up on some of things going on with Ellie and him. They are having the Spring Festival again next week and he invited me to come up and enjoy spud doughnuts. I am considering doing that though I plan on going to Ontario on Friday to check in on Joel. I need to finish my taxes since they are hanging over my head and April 15th is going to be here faster than I think.
We went out to the fairgrounds and we were a little early but there was a good sized crowd and growing. It was better weather than last year. I took an extra heavy coat and gloves but did not need them. The bull riding was good entertainment and the livestock was a good match for the youngsters who were trying to ride them. A couple of close calls and some pretty feisty bulls. At times the action dragged but they generally kept things moving along. I guess I am a little put off with all super patriotism and a lady who could not sing ripped into God Bless America. And I don't really see anything wrong with the national anthem. the sound system was a little on the loud side also. They kind of took off on Clinton and I could have laughed harder at some Bush jokes.
Anyway I started home at 9:20 and got home about 11:30. I slept three hours and then delivered the paper and came home and slept three more. |
