| My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later. |

It looks like a good spring day. There is quite a bit of work because it is the first day of a new month so the reports for March need to be done as soon as possible. I sent a note off to Nancy that I was having company on Saturday so a visit to Bend was not likely. Also a little comment about all the bitchin' and moanin' about work. They never have found a job that they really liked. If they do some day, they maybe happy ever after. Rick came by and he worked on his yard all weekend. I don't know what that guy does for fun - I guess more work. Dennis and Karen have been gone for a week so he has been operating without cash - which has to be a pain. Javier has brought a container around and it was sent back and now it is back and on the way to the port. Hitting those weight for Korea is a never ending challenge. The day was very busy. Quite a bit of hay was brought in Saturday so duplicate tickets had to be made out. Then the month had ended and there were spread sheets for the end of the week and the end of the month. There were four containers coming and going so I found myself jumping up and down quite a bit. Tom hung around for nearly an hour. I had work to do but I guess he just wanted to sit around. He has to make the monthly inventory - and all that counting seems to get on his nerves. Sometimes I think he is just lazy and hates to get up and move around. He is already beginning to indicate that he is cheating on the weight loss. He claims his blood pressure has come down significantly. I really have a feeling he is going to be worse than me about gaining the weight back. I did not get any exercise and I did not want to walk the loop because I wanted to get an envelope to send an Easter book to Nolan. I probably over ate tonight since I had salad, tuna, rice, and a roll and jelly. I have really been drinking the water tonight and that is somewhat unusual. I got a 22 minute call from Joel this afternoon. This is the first time that he has called me. He said that he was taking the day off from lifting weights. Apparently he was out in the yard and he just felt like calling. That was fine as far as I was concerned. He said that he had put in an order to the commissary last night and should be getting it on Thursday. I jogged him about the articlesand he said that they were in the mail last night. I should be getting them in a day or two. I forgot to tell him that I had sent his pictures back again. I will be sure to ask him the next time I contatct him. He said that his mother said she would be coming up either the 14th or 21st. We will just have to wait and see if she carries through on this. We talked about Michael some and I let him know that he would be paroled to the county he came from and that ought to sort of cool his mom down. Michael had said that she intended to have him paroled to her. I don't think she is real stable since Joel mentioned the fact that his parents were separated when his dad died. In fact Joel kept mentioning the fact that he had gone over to his dad's house and had found his body. Poor guy I think he is still carrying that around plus the fact that the little brother is in counseling since he has been threatening suicide over his dad's death. Anything Joel has done in the past in certainly understandable. I watched the Powwow Highway which was a sort of Native American story about a Cheyenne radical who was at odds with the federal government and his buddy who was rather simple but a young Indian following the old traditions and ways of thinking. It revolved around the radical rescuing his sister from illegal imprisonment. The Most Memorable Positive Moment was the call from Joel - it was completely unexpected and really made me feel I might have made some sort of impression on him. | ||
