Having It My Weigh Home | Profile | Archives | Friends
My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Still No Joel BlogApril 4, 2007

It does not look like a busy day. I have a Laughlin truck to start with and some accounting work but otherwise not much is predictable. I need to get a letter out to Nolan and find the houses of two new customers. I will check and see if the prescriptions are ready. I probably should order a couple of bags of rubber bands. I should be able to get in my exercises without a lot of hassle.

As it turned out the two new customers were not in my area but I still delivered their papers after work. A big pain in the ass. I think I should charge them a few bucks when they make a screw-up at the paper of that magnitude. That is certainly worst than a customer complaint.

It proved to be a slow day as far as work was concerned. I got a few things done for myself and got a letter off to Nolan and three set of exercises. I included a couple of weekly police logs and a couple of articles about the big rocking chair and Grannys' (Roy and Venita). I sent those along with some jokes. There are three things I sent him this week. He probably will not be calling that much because it is the beginning of the month and everyone is making phone calls.

Of course, I have been wondering all day what sort of reaction I can expect out of Michael if anything. Man, I hope he feels like moving closer to me if no more than Portland. I can get back and forth to Portland but that 500 miles to Grants Pass would not happen very much. I thought maybe I would hear from  Joel since he told me that he mailed the letters on Sunday and he talked to me on Monday. Oh well, he seems to be a real dyed in the wool procrastinator.

I watched Man of Ashes tonight and I thought it was a good story. It was about a couple of boys who had dropped out of school and went to work for a master craftsman who abused them as young boys. One guy was trying to get married and the other was trying to get out of town. It sort of ended abruptly without any real conclusion that I could determine.
