My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

A Perfect DayApril 24, 2007

What a difference a day makes. Today there is a cloud cover and a breeze - yesterday clear blue sky and the wind was calm. Michelle has been by; grabbed some candy and left. Hannah was not along - I guess staying with her grandmother for the day. Javier has been by with an empty and a partially filled container. There were only two tickets yesterday - not a very busy day. I'll try to get a letter off to Joel since he might need it more this week than later. I have no idea whether he grieves when a visit is over.

We sent out some more containers and there were a few COD's but actually there is not a lot going on. I got the three exercise sets in plus a walk around the loop. There was nothing of much importance in the mail. I gave Jesus another call and he should be out this weekend to trim things up. He was wondering if I still had renters in the house. I guess he wanted to rent it. I am sure there are worse renters but these guys are all right if they will start working on the yard.

I got a letter off to Joel and he should get it in a day or two.

I watched Flags Of Our Fathers which was the story about the guys who raised the flags on Iwo Jima. I did not realize there were actually two flags and an Indian was involved. I was at the University at the time and was probably interested in other things. I think I was working at the mail room because I remembered the time the war ended I went over to the boss' house and drank some wine with Dorothy and someone else that worked there. Oh, I remember Irene who thought I had an idiotic grin. I was also eating at that the boarding house with those old people who served that unusual food inexpensively.

The most Memorable Positive Moment today was talking to Doc Mathis from Iron Horse. Now there is a stretch.
