Having It My Weigh Home | Profile | Archives | Friends
My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

April Is ToastApril 29, 2007

I hope that the weeds and grass get cut today and I can lay out some water to the trees. I have the usual Sunday chores of gassing the autos and laying in some grub. It should not be too busy.

I did the usual Sunday thing of hitting the China Buffet with all the Mexicans and then gassed up the vehicles. I got to worrying that the grass was going to get left so I kept on Jesus' ass until he finally showed up around six o'clock. They finished it is good order but the price went up $15.00 to $80.00. I don't know what happened to the renter they left and their lawn still looks like shit. I may have to put some pressure on them to get it picked up and mowed. Oh well, I hate to get heavy with them.

I talked to Nolan and I guess his shoulder has stopped hurting and he is slowly trying to get it feeling okay again. He was fussing about getting a driver's license and a CDL. I guess he don't know the half of it yet. He says that he has fourteen months left and that is really ten before he goes into pre-release. Well, I can only hope for the best because he cannot lean on me and expect me to come to his aid again. I am tapped out.

I watched the video Lean On Me that is about this tough black principal who turned that New Jersey High School around. The kids were able to pass the state test after a few months. It was a good story and kept my interest.

The Most Memorable Positive Moment of the Day was Nolan telling me that he had my future handled - Oh if he only did. I am afraid that I need to worry about that at least a little bit until he has his act together. Who knows he may be the man and everyone else will fade into the woodwork.
