Having It My Weigh Home | Profile | Archives | Friends
My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Overtime Is Over-ratedMay 9, 2007

It is another sunny day with a few things to do. I need to go over the route script again and the instructions. I should get a letter off to Nolan and bring accounts up to date. We should not be very busy. Rick was by to pick up the last of the tickets and said that we are about ten days away from the first cutting. The neighbor's alfalfa is 14-16 inches high and growing fast.

My right eye seems to be giving me fits. It seems to ache in the back and waters a lot. I need to try and keep it well lubed today. If it doesn't get better I will put some of that high priced ointment on it. There is always something - at least the gut ache has not been a problem so far this week.

It was not a busy day but there were a few things going on that sort of kept me off balance. Tom came up for a long visit. Actually it was sort of a waste of time and I was glad to see him go back down to his office. There was a couple of trucks and one came very late so I was stuck there for over an hour past my usual quitting time. I did do the 3 exercise sets even though I had a pretty good gut ache after I ate. I laid on the table and it eventually went away.  The eye problem seems to have gone away as well. I wrote a letter to Nolan and messed up the police log I had copied for him and just substituted some other crap. I got a letter from both Joe and Michael. Joel was a pretty long one for him and he has promised to do some writing about the guys I had pictures of. Michael wants to hang out with me for a couple hours in Salem and then he is going on to Grants Pass. I assume that he thinks we are going to spend some time together after that. I think I need to probably think about this whole situation. He is talking about $500 -$1000 credit when he is released and signed up with a cell phone. I have to do some more thinking about that.

Nancy called and she plans to come to Hermiston on the 19th of May and hopes that Art and Bob will come over for a visit. Then there is Katie's graduation sometime around the 15th of June. That looks like a lot of traveling around. I'll need to do some thinking abut that as well. That is even further than Grants Pass.

I watched School For Scoundrels that was a story of a con-man teaching a bunch of losers how to become winners. There was some competition between the main character over a girl. It was an enjoyable story and it kept my attetnion.

The Most Memorable Positive Moment was getting and reading the letter from Michael. At least he thinking about keeping in touch with me.
