Having It My Weigh Home | Profile | Archives | Friends
My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Suddenly Sour SundayMay 20, 2007

I am supposed to get a picnic together but it does not look that good out. In fact, it is definitely on the cool side. I have been thinking about some alternatives - like the bowling alley or roller rink. I really don't have many other ideas on the top of my head. I definitely hate to think about freezing my butt off for a couple of hours.
It began sprinkling around nine thirty. I went down to the park and it was going to be a cold sucker. I went by the Desert River Inn and arranged to eat there. I called Nancy and alerted her and then Art that we were doing an alternative plan.

It went off okay with everyone showing up. Bob was a little late with Shelby and a friend. We went to eat and people pretty much flaked off after that. The conversation was okay but I made a crack about people getting married several times and I could see that it hurt Bob's feelings and I would have cut my tongue out if I could have. It was one of those times that you just talk too much. Valerie did not show up today so I wonder if Bob is having some problems and it hit closer to home than I had any idea and it startled him. Apparently Robert is living with Kate and no one really gives a damn one way or the other. Obviously it was what they had on their minds and certainly Bob thinks Kate is the best. Bob seems to think they will be getting married soon. Everyone was saying there was no need to rush into it.

Nolan called and said that he thought I was traveling so he had not called. He kept saying that he wants to move to Canada that he is through with the United States. He kept saying that he was sticking by me no matter what. That is nice but I am not sure who is taking care of who. If he took care of me I would be the first he had ever done so. But it was good to hear him say it I guess.

I called Bricklin to wish him a happy birthday and he told me that he has a daughter that was born about a month ago. Her name is the same as his mother. He said that he planned to go back to school and become an anesthesiologist  because he would be making more money. He seems to have gotten himself straightened out pretty well.

I sent some money and a note off to Mike that the books that Robert Woods wanted should be there in a day or two.

I watched a movie called The Secaucus 7 that  was a story about seven or more people who got together because they were old friends. It was a strange movie about relationships and much of the dialogue was hard for me to hear and understand. It was sort of an artsy movie that probably would appeal to someone interested in film making.

The Most Memorable Positive Moment today was talking to Bricklin and how he was glad to hear from me. I guess the comment by Nolan would be a close second.
