| My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later. |

It should be a fun day. I am amazed at these people. I am sure they are on their best behavior but it sounds like they deserve more. I guess the only reservation is that it was all a little too easy and fast. They built to me like a kitten to a hot brick and I hope it is sincere. I hope I am not disappointed to the eventual outcome - probably not - they're maybe the family I always wished I had. Maybe the reason for my existence. This Mikey in the pool at the Motel. He loved the water and the attention of everyone. He is really a sweet kid but he does get upset and glares like an Italian - but he is soon over it.
I am just hanging out now and waiting to take a shower here eventually. I have my clothes pressed and ready to go. The computer works great. This is one of the best connection I have had. Mikey brought me breakfast. He said he slept pretty good but he fell out of bed. He said he rolled around a lot. Michael said he was surprised that he had called me Grandpa. What can I say I am flattered and pretty well smitten. There is no fool like an old fool. I hope it all goes as well as we hope. We hung around the Motel until eleven with Mikey having a great time becoming a better swimmer. We finally checked out and went by his mother's house to pick up his phone charge. We headed out and they either slept and talked a little. We ate lunch in Roseburg after a few false stops. We stopped to buy gas at Albany and a few snacks. We finally got to Portland around four thirty. I checked into the motel and they walked to Kate's mother to surprize her. I hung up my clothes and tried to checked on the Internet. They came back and took the car to her mothers to unload their stuff and came back and we went to Fred Meyer where I spent over a hundred bucks on food and school clothes for Mikey. Dropped the stuff off at their house and decided to go to BurgerVille for supper - her mom went along and it was okay. Michael and I went to a food mart to get some liquor and cough medicine for Mikey. He was back in the pool as his mom and her mother talked. We drank a toast to their new life in Portland. Mikey was finally blasted out of the pool and they went to her mother's and I was left alone in a rather noisey flea-bag motel. THey are going to call me tomorrow and we will probably go to the zoo. The Most Memotrable Positive Moment was helping MIkey develop his swimming skills | ||
