My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Saturday Shake UpsSeptember 8, 2007

I woke up to the furnace kicking in. It is a little cooler this morning but still clear. I need to straighten up the trailer and put some things away. Pack up whatever and get some melons, corn and a few veggies and head out. I am thinking between nine and ten. I need gas and to check the mail. Also get some cash. It should be a fun trip. I expect to get to Portland around noon and then on to Salem and wait around for the game until around six. I'll try to mess around for as long as possible. I hope we can figure something else out in a week or so.

Mikey in the Portland pool with all his toys and feeling pretty good.

I really cannot figure why I have not heard from Nolan unless he is upset I am spending time with Michael. Generally he does not seem to mind that much. I probably ought to give Wes a call one of these evenings. It is pretty easy to drift apart - that is for sure.

I got some gas and picked up the melons and stuff. I checked th mail, and headed out of town. I guess I was thinking most about the fact Michael had said Kate had slept all one day because she was sick. I called a couple of times and got through some. I arrived after lunch and stopped at the house. It was completely darkened and everyone was doing their thing. Kate came out and looked okay. Mikey showed up with his swimming equipment. I gave him  his birthday present and he was impressed and tried to wear the hat even though it was too tight. He loved the tee shirt and wore it all weekend - even to bed. We grabbed lunch at Burgerville and headed to Salem. Finally found the Motel and Kate went to bed and Mikey started swimming. He had a big time that is for sure.

About five thirty we headed to the ball park and stopped at Target for some medicine. As soon as we hit the park we started eating and Mikey was hard at it checking in with Crater and generally having a big time. Michael and Kate  kept the beer flowing and seemed to be having a good time at the game - though they came and went a lot. Mikey downed 2 hotdogs, cotton candy and some crackerjack. I got cold and went to the car and the damned thing would not unlock. I really panicked I tried calling all kinds of people for help and forgot all about the key I had in the bag in the room. I kept thinking it was in the Expedition. Finally around ten thirty the locksmith arrived and popped it open costing $45.00. They all seemed to take the bad luck in stride without a lot of fuss. I headed out looking for a bank because I was out of money. I went to OSP and still could not find it. Michael called looking for me which I really appreciated. I called him when I got home and he came over to say good night.

The Most Memorable Positive Moment was Michael telling me he loved me as he went out the door. I really don't think too many people do or at least tell me. I am sure that was worth all the shit andf money I have sent his way the past three or four years.
