Well, it looks like it might be a good weekend and I was all worried - no need. I should get some mail out and be around whenever Michael shows up. I would like to get the switch box covered and then sort of go around the well house and straighten things up. I might take a load to the storage unit and maybe a load of trash to the dump. Myabe eat lunch at El Cazadore and maybe go to Wildhorse tonight and check out that buffet and gamble a buck or two. It should be different. I hope I can get a buck or two off the motel room as well.

Mikey --Motel 6 Portland his favorite pastime!!!

I got a call from Michael at nine fifteen that they were ready to leave but they just had half a tank of gas and they had no  money. I was a little shocked I guess because I thought they still had some money on the card for getting a driver's license. Come to find out they did have some cash left on the gas card. I have a feeling that Katie is the one with the money and is not really trying much to cut back. I guess this will be the last weekend for a while. I just cannot afford many more until they get more self sufficient. I don't know what to say except that he had better be earning some money next week.

At eleven fifteen a call from Michael on how to get on the road to Multahnomha Falls from I-205. Where are you?  Just leaving. What happened? Oh Katie had to get ready then Mikey had to get ready. Had to fill the car with gas. I see. Do you have plenty of gas now? Oh yeah, it's full. Don't drive too fast. Oh, Katie doesn't drive over 70. We should be there around two. Okay We'll see.

I got a call at two fifteen and asked if I wanted them to stop at a store. That seemed strange I said we would talk about it when they got here. They finally showed and seemed friendly enough - came in and sat around. I mentioned the Casino and Katie was not too enthused. Michael was okay. We went and checked in the Motel and Mikey of course went swimming. All seemed okay. Katie was tired and apparently they had talked until three in the morning and Michael had gotten up the regular time. They had to do some washing and other delays. I asked Michael if he was hungry and he said yes. Fuck I felt stupid. I told him he needs to look in my refrigerator and make himself at home. So we went to Denny's and he had a sandwich and Mikey had some pancakes. Kate disppeared and apparently was taking a nap. We decided to go the Wildhorse and made that trip without Katie. Michael mentioned the fact that he wanted to get a place of his own so he could have Mikey come over. He mentioned later that they had not parted on the best of terms with Kate - so I guess there is some shit going on. We had fun at the casino we played around with Mikey and then left him at a center and played some penny slots. Michael doubled his money and was pretty enthusiastic about the whole situation. We cashed out and and picked up Mikey and stopped at McDonald's for some snacks on the way home. Michael stopped at Pilot and picked up a couple beers I guess. I dropped them off at the room and Michael said he would call me early in the morning. Fuck I hope I can stick this out. Mikey was very enthused about the DVD player - i hope it helps his reading. We'll see. He has a birthday party to attend next Saturday.

The Most Memorable Positve Moment was how Michael generally treats me. I hope he has fun ariound me and is not just loving over the money bit. And, of course, I think I have Mikey in my pocket - especially if I keep showering him with gifts which I plan to do.
