I could not sleep past five oclock so I got up and messed around on the computer until about seven fifteen and took a shower. A little after eight Michael called and said he and Mikey were ready for breakfast and would meet me in front of the motel. I drove over and they were walking around in the same clothes they went to bed in. They seemed glad to see me and said that Kate was about the same. We ate breakfast and Mikey ate part of my pancakes and he wanted to sit beside me. It was pretty windy so we talked of going back to the Casino or going to view the fish ladders. Eventally Michael and Kate came out with their things in plastic bags and they said they would follow me to the dam that Kate did not want to go to Wildhorse. We spent a little time - twentry minuites at the most looking at the fish which everyone seemed to enjoy. I walked with Michael and he said she wanted to head back to Portland and that sort of ended that. Mikey wanted to come over and hang out at my house but that was vetoed and he turned pretty quiet. We stopped at Rite Aide and I got $75.00 and they came in and bought some junk food it looked like for the trip. I told Michael that I planned to come down for the weekend and if I was the cause of their differences I would do other things. He said definitely not and that mainly it was the drug problem that she was not handling very well. I told him that if they moved apart it was essential that he keep control of the car and he said most definitely. He said she wanted to get a job and get a place of her own as well. I am not sure what all that means except Michael does not want to deal with the drug issue on a daily basis and Annie is okay but he is not comfortable there. He mentioned the fact that the bed was an air matress that was noisy and uncomfortable. He said he planned to hit construction sites tomorrow with resume in hand and just go from site to site as well as check out Express services. I told him if he is working I would make it all day Sunday. His phone battery had run down so we went to WalMart to try to find one unsuccessfully. MIkey had fun checking out the toys and the shit I bought him was worthless. One needed a special piece of equipment and the other ran on a computer. What a bust! I also saw some DVD players in WalMart that probably beat the Best Buy one. Oh Well, They have been gone for over four hours now so I am assuming they have gotten back to Portland. This afternoon I went to TriCities and got a charger for Michael and a shirt for Mikey and a card for Nolan's birthday. At the Old Country place some guy tried to take my table again.

I will see if Michael gives me a call before bedtime. I left a message with Michael voice-mail after I got his and Nolan's package ready. I decided to go to town and when I got to the corner Michael called. He said that they made it okay but had used over a half a tank of gas becuase they were pushing the head wind. He said he was in the car that might become his bedroom. I sort of quizzed him on his deciison  to get something on his own and he said that he was tired of being treated like crap. He said he definitely did not want to live with Kate and be treated that way. He said that she and her mother were both crazy. I let that pass but I dio not know what he was basing that on and sort of made a joke of it. I told him to look around since the guy was going to take him to a job site and put him on tomorrow. He is hoping that he will go to work tomorrow. He will certainly feel better about himself if he does. I told him I would help on the apartment and would sign whatever was necessary to get into something. He said that Kate had said he had better not come around there if he moved out but he sounded like he could work it out. I know that women sometimes use the kids to get at their boyfriends especially if they feel like they were spurned. He sounded like he wanted to be friends not just live together. I am sure that Mikey is about as secure as he has ever been in his life with two parents but he will soon pick up on what is taking place. I just hope that he can keep that close relationship with Michael.  It will really be crucial. The renter has paid but I have to wait until Thursday for a third of it. It sucks but it is better than nothing.

I watched the VCR from the past few nights and that was about it. The Most Memorable Positive Moment was hearing Mikey say he wanted to hang out with me - absolutely the best I have heard in a long time and one I will remember always. Thanks, God!!!!!!!!
