I got a call at 11:06 from Michael that he had been locked out of the house and he did not know what to do. GEEZ. I calmed him down and kept him out of the car and driving it around. He had some money so he could go to Motel 6. He walked over there talking to me the whole way. He said it was a big mistake leaving Grants Pass and that Kate was being mean to him. I guess he has felt she has been pushing him away in the hopes he would leave and she could go back to the drug life she has left. He said her mother had said that she had like two personalities - one that was nice and loving and one that was mean and demanding. He admitted that his mouth got him in trouble by saying too much and when she said he could leave he did and she locked the door. It was raining and Motel Six would not take his card because it has Sr on it. I tried to talk to the people but they would not take my card over the phone so he had to walk back to Plaid Pantry and get fifty dollars. He was finally able to get registered and went to the room. He had calmed down some but he needs to get things straightened out tomorrow and see if Kate will drive him around. If not her -someone else. He needs to start developing backup plans and not just think things are going to go the way they look like they are going. He needs a cheap back up plan to stay for the night. Possibly Kate's brother, church, hide out fifty bucks cash to use at a motel. He needs to line up back up drivers for the car to get him to work and back. He needs to have a key to Annie's house if he can and back off from Kate as much as possible. He needs to get a job and then he can start talking about lining up his own place to stay. I would think there are some cheap rooms available he needs to line them up.

I slept some after the crisis and I feel all right this morning. I would think he would be up so that Kate can take Mikey to school. We should see how that goes. Michael called about nine oclock and the scalehouse was full of assholes. Tom going on about fat kids - Michelle had fucked me up by not sending me a schedule on Friday. Some stupid shit with a load of hay that obviously was a Mormon. I finally got in the car and called him and he was back at the Motel. Annie had said he could sleep on the living room floor and he had taken Mikey to the bus stop. He had briefly talked to Kate- had ate shit and apologized and she had agreed to take him around job hunting. I told him to concentrate on himself and that he had as many problems as she did. They needed to give each other a little bit of space. I will send some more money this afternoon and keep in touch. Hopefully he will have a job tonight.

Not much good news for Michael. He has pretty well been shot down with his felonies and he is hoping that he can get some good news tonight and lean on this guy pretty good because he is getting near the desparate stage. He said that Kate does not want to drive him anywhere and wanted money and he would not give her any. She apparently is trying to get some drugs and it is sort of a battle at the moment. He intends to go to an AAA meeting tonight and see if he can locate someone who will be able to drive him around. Annie has encouraged him to stay because she needs some help with Mikey. He said he has cut the beer and is trying to stay as sober as possible. He might have something in Wilsonville but he has to have a way to get over there. We have talked several times today for pretty long shots. Tom has been around nosing here and there. He sometimes bugs me with his attitude. He finally left and I had a chance to hear from Michael again. He is charging up his phone and he went to the bus to meet Mikey from school. He said that he had been put on the birth ceriticate because the only way she could get food stamps for she and Mikey was to put Michael's name on the birth certificate. He said that he had high hopes in Grants Pass that she would be able to stay off but she is pretty well unhappy  and going to see what she can find is our guess. He says that the cheap places to stay around there are about $450/monthly up to $550/monthly. The cheap places are down in the ghettos and prettyy bad. He needs to stay out of there.

I talked again to Michael and he is really distraught. He says he can hardly talk about Kate without breaking down and crying. He said it took him two years to get over the previous heart-break. Plus now he is having a problem getting a job and he is beside himself.  Much much too distrerssed. He is going to filing stations whatever he can find, KFC, any place that will take him and just get going and making some money. He feels it will be hard to stay at Annie's because she will always be around and reminding him of what he is missing. I am not sure what the problem is but it sounds like she is so fucked up that he is right in the middle of the whole thing and since he is sort of high strung any way he reacts to everything as if it is a personal thing. I am sure this is going to have a negative affect on Mikey. How can people do this to themselves.  I hope and pray that things smooth out for him - he deserves some really  good times - he does. I think I will call Wes tomorrow and see if he would give him a job if he has these felonies. If he will I will see if he can make the move. What am I saying?

 The final message was that he was watching a movie with Mikey and that Kate was going out and he was going to sleep in the bed. He sounded a little better hopefully and he just has to hang in there. He said that he was going to hit filling stations, anything else that was a possibility. He just needs to do something. Man, I hope things start coming around for him. I watched Out Of The Past on the gay movement's historical development. It was okay but a lot of familiar ground. The Most Memorable Positive Moment was the talks with Michael - we are really becoming close. It has to be better.
