I heard Michael get up at four thirty and in thirty minutes he was back. He had walked over to the house to see if the car was back. It wasn't. The door was locked so he came back to the Motel. Soon everyone was awake and Mikey and Michael wrestled around a while until I got dressedand we went to IHOP for some breakfast. About this time Annie called and said that Kate had stayed overnight at a girl friend's house. We started looking around for some apartments and found some that looked okay. Michael has to go to work around ten and then I went to pick up some cash and left Mikey at Annie's. On the way to work Michael called me and said that he and Annie had gotten into a knock down drag-out argument because he told her if he found a place he would probably move MIkey out. That really touched a nerve with her. Anyway Michael was boiling hot angry and said things he shouldn't and so did Annie. He went to work and Mikey called me to come by and pick him up so he could swim at the Motel. When I got to the house Mikey said that`Annie was coming too because she wanted to talk to me.

Mikery jumped in the pool and Annie began with a bunch of BS about Michael which I did not believe and I tried to tell her where Michael was coming from and that they all should work on Mikey because he sure needed them all. We finally got Mikey out of the pool and I dropped them at the house and drove to pick up Michael. I met him coming home and I guess that Kate had not been in on the planning and was raising a stink. Annie and MIchael got into it again and he came storming out to the car very angry and visibly upset. I drove around a little and tried to calm him down because now Kate was not going to let Mikey go the birthday party or get a present or what the hell. The apartments I had checked in the morning were not going to work. There was one the Cabana that might - but we wouldn't know until Monday. After a couple of hours as I predicted Kate called and wanted Michael and me to take MIkey to get a present and take him to the birthday party. We got the present and drove by the house and they got into it again - Michael comes storming out and saying call him when they wanted Mikey to have a Dad. We go to the Motel and go through the directory looking for weekly motels. Not much luck but a couple prospects. Eventually Kate calls and want us to take Mikey to the party. We finally find the house and rush back to Safeway and meet Robert for some apartment suggestions and Idea to apply at Safeway for stockling jobs. Michael gets an invitation to go clubbing with a black friend. This is an experience he has never had but gives it a try. At eight oclock we pick up Mikey and drop him at the house because he and Annie are going to the Pirate Celebration the next day under Burnside Bridge. Michael leaves with friend and I am alone paying solitaire - sort of feeling sorry for myself but hanging in there.

I finally fall asleep but wake up around one and Michael is still out. I start playing games again and about two fifteen he shows up and we shut down. He said he had a good time.
