I will try to stay off the phone and let Michael call me. If he does okay if not it should be a good indication that he has about played out this hand. It would be really great if he would get a job and start supporting himself. I need to get my cash under control. I may hear from Nancy today.

I called Michael around noon and got voice mail. Within an hour he called and said he had a job under the Burnside Bridge using a pressure washer. I had an office mess so I asked him if I could call him back. I called and voice mail again. He called me and I was able to find out that the original friend got him up at 5:00 oclock and took him down there and he was hired on the spot. He works from nine at night until five in the morning and get $10.50 an hour. That is all good news and I could not be happier for him.  I asked him to be sure and call me when he gets off work because I will be up and about. The job is within walking distance of the motel - a mile and a quarter I think he said. This should solve a lot of problems for us both. Man, it would be great if it all worked out and he got a decent wage and had a chance to do something besides hang around ex-felons. He called back a third time and seemed to be talking from some place where he was watching his buddy play video poker. He said he thought he would be washing heavy eaquipment and that he would call me when he got off  work tomorrow morning.

Nancy called and we met at El Casadore for supper. It was good and I got caught up on all that is going on over in Bend. Sounds like much the same to me. Harley has a CDL and Nancy is going to nursing school and working full time in a mental health clinic. I got an instant message from Ellen that Paul was now an instructor.
