Having It My Weigh Home | Profile | Archives | Friends
My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

I sort of looked over the finances and I should be able to weather the storm as long as I do not do anything extraordinary. I will probably curtail my traveling quite a bit. I would like to see Mikey oftener but that is an expensive trip no matter how you plan it. Robert should be returning the car today and Bob should be down for supper near the end of the day. I am not sure exactly when Robert is going to leave Portland but I would like to go to TriCities and get the hockey tickets for next Sunday. I need to change the oil in the Expedition. Maybe send Nolan a book or two.

I was on the way to TriCities when Katie called and told me the car had been stolen. Soon Robert came on the line and he was acting funny. I thought iota was really strange that the car would disappear the morning I was supposed to pick it up. Naturally I figured that Katie had someone steal it. They found a police number to report it stolen but they could do nothing without a call from the owner. I left a name and number and they were to call me back. I was very distraught and very disappointed with Katie and her mother. I called flash and he said he would put out the word that the car was missing – but, of course, his grandmother could use a car. I went to Old Country Buffet and cowed down though my gut was churning. I went to Safeway to pick up some rolls and the cops called. It turned out that the port police impounded the car. After a couple more calls it was apparent nothing was going to happen until Monday morning. I called Robert and he is set to do something with it on Monday. And then we will make plans for getting it to Hermiston. Bob had called and was coming anyway but I told him I was not really up to a dinner tonight. I hope I did not put him off too much but I was pretty upset. I guess I hate being made a fool of myself the car did represent a pretty good-sized loss. I called Annie and she did not sound all that enthusiastic. She was neither glad nor sad that it had been found. I would have thought she would have been glad that they were no longer suspected. However it many trace back to them later. I need to call Flash and let him know I have the car located.

I talked to Flash and let him know we had found the car. Nothing from Annie or Mikey tonight. They probably think I may be a little pissed. The pump is acting up so we don’t have water. It stops and starts a lot so the points of contacts may be screwed up. I hope I can get a hold of someone tomorrow to take care of repairs.
