My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

I guess the big project today is get the pump fixed. I feel like I should send Bobby some money and a letter to keep him cheered up. His letter certainly did cheer me up yesterday. It will be interested to see if I hear from any of the people in Grants Pass or Portland. It is sort of strange I guess that Katie has made no effort to contact me. I would assume that she feels pretty guilt about the whole affair. I am sure she noised around the fact that I was taking the car back. I need to figure out the phone situation. I wish there was a way to do all of this without hurting Mikey.

I wrote a letter to Schimmele and sent him some money to spend. I ate at the China Buffet and the food was okay but I mainly go there for the desert I guess. I did some shopping and pretty much wasted the rest of the day. I tried eating a quart of ice cream but had to give up with about two cups left. No other food after that. I started the pump several times and the renter was gone so I guess there was not too much pull on the pump. I need to get that going tomorrow. I had an email from Michael’s mom that she wanted my address to send me the cord to the phone – in the previous letter she said she had gotten my letter about Michael saying he was Italian so she had my address. I think she shot gunned my answer to all her relatives. That was all right I guess.

Mikey called me about six o’clock and did not have that much to say. He said he had gone swimming with his mom but he did not know where it was. I could hear people coaching him in the background. Michael’s mom said she was going to call him so that might have prompted him. He asked where the car was so that had to be his mom since he was using her telephone. I got some cards I am going to start sending him that may encourage keeping him in the telephone calling mode.
