What is in store for today? I may get guts enough to stalk to Mikey about the GP visit. Not a lot going on. It looks like it may rain.

It was a slow day again at the scale house. It was cloudy and rained off and on. Tom never came up and left the paper and the video still has not been shown. He went flying by a couple of times.

I wrote the following to Lynn-

Good Morning Lynn-There are a few raindrops in the air this morning but it should clear out soon. I talked a while with Mikey last night. He decided to go to school and he said he was feeling a little better. I thought he said he was going to stay home from school but he told me that he had said “maybe”. Anyway I am sort of biding my time for the appropriate moment to suggest we pay you a visit. I figure if Annie gets herself committed to something she won’t feel like she needs to make the trip also.

Yeah, Michael and I discussed that I might be tempted to “spoil” Mikey but we figured he has some needs and is a thinker so we both understand what is happening. I have had several granddaughters but never a little boy to sort of think about so it is good for me also.As far as health is concerned I try to pay attention to what is going on in my body but I try not to dwell on it. I am a firm believe that our best wellness organ is our mind. We tend to head toward those things that are foremost in our brains. I think a lot of old people feel that the only attention they get is through their illnesses so they tend to obsess on those things that get them attention. I have been very lucky to have excellent health and I try hard to do those things that promote good health. So I seldom discuss my health and I worry about some of my friends who do quite a lot of  self-medicating via the computer and the commercials on TV. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

I don’t think that I necessarily need that number to the Mike Cushman account. There is a Washington Mutual in TriCities so I can make deposits there I am sure.

Are Dom and Ayden going to get to spend any time with you this week? I hope so – poor little tykes.I guess I should be thinking about some productive activity for Western Alfalfa.

Then she wrote a note that she thought it was pretty funny that I was going to try and out-fox Annie. She said she was going to go get a flu shot today. Later she wrote she had a little package for Mikey – some clothes and a deck of cards. She also said that Annie had emailed her that Jonah was in jail and she thought for theft. I am not surprised I guess.

I called Mikey tonight and he was in fine spirits. It sounded like he was having a go-round with his mother. He asked me if I wanted to talk to Annie and I said I had already. She answered the phone and it sounded like she was expecting an invite to Grants Pass or something. I am going to wait until I can be a little surer about the weather. I am still getting two messages and I sure don’t want to regret the trip. Man, I guess I would be gone three nights. I am not sure I want to do that but we will see.
