I woke up and couldn’t sleep. I was thinking about the trip to Grants Pass and whether I should keep the Sprint connection. I was pretty disappointed last night. I tried it a little this morning and it works – not as fast as I would like but maybe okay for around the house. I have thirty days before I have to make up my mind for sure. I am not going to cancel the EOTC just yet. I need to do a little shopping and get the Christmas cards on the way. I need to wrap the presents for Mikey and get a goodies bucket filled. I need to check out a place to stay at Grants Pass that wont break me. I would like to have a swimming pool if possible. The stars are shining this morning but it is fairly chilly and it looks like a storm is on the coast.
I went shop early and got the groceries, some pants, and the gift cards for the women in Michael’s life. I mailed the cards to the inmates and finished up the washing. Cleaned the trailer and got things sort of organized. I got a bag for Mikey’s scooter and the other gift. Packed a few goodies in a pail and got them in the car. I had couple of calls from Nolan. Once he was talking about something and was cut off. Then he called again and we talked a little about changing the phone number. I guess he tried the cell phone and it didn’t work so he needs to put it on his list. The renter paid a little over eight hundred dollars and then I got some power company money so I can meet a few bills if the check does not bounce. I won three dollars on Powerball and went by Safeway and got another one for Wednesday.
I called Katie and got voice mail. I called Annie and finally Mikey came on. I asked him how his throat was and he said worse. I asked him if he was going to school tomorrow and it depended upon how he felt I guess. He said he was sort of busy but I got a couple of comments in before he took off. I told him I was going to need some help picking out a skateboard forJohn because there were so many kinds. He said he would help me but not real enthusiastic or excited about the prospect. Oh well, it probably hurt him to talk - he said he was taking medicine and he sounded hoarse. I guess it is better this weekend than next. |
