It is about normal as far as weather is concerned. I got in a little stretching. I need to take my exercising seriously today. I will check out a motel in Grants Pass and make some plans there. I will maybe move some of the stuff out of the car and leave it at the scale house. I need to check if I need an oil change but of course I could do it on the trip. I might need something to do. I want to give the Sprint system a try at the scale house. I should not think there is too much going on at the scale house. I hope old Mikey starts feeling better.
It was not a real busy day but I managed to screw up a G F E ticket and spread sheet. I am not sure how it happened. I got an email from MM and there is not a lot of difference in that situation. I have the motel for the four days and it is not going to be too bad. I expect it is going to be $200.00 but I can get off by myself and they do have a swimming pool that may please Mikey and possibly John and whoever else. I got a letter off to Bobby. I got an email from Mary Ellen that she wants my address. So I need to send her out the visa card tomorrow. She is working two jobs – one thing – she is not lazy. I walked around a little bit. I still did not grab anything and work out. I ate an apple, banana, and yogurt. I just have to keep it under control tonight. I tried the Sprint thing and it works pretty well out there. It probably is as fast as the DSL. The 40mb would be hard to live with I think. I would pretty much have to limit myself to checking email.
Tonight I called Katie’s phone and got voice mail again. Then I called Annie’s phone and got the directions on giving her a paging call. I just left a voice message. Man, I began imagining all sorts of dire things. Naturally I figured that Mikey’s throat had gotten worse. In about five minutes he was on the phone – and he was panting like he had been running – probably taking a bath. He was really in fine fettle. He said his throat was completely healed and that he had gone to school. Last Saturday I sent him a pretty neat book on all the animals on earth and it had some sort of holistic pictures of jungle animals. He really liked that. Then he wanted to talk about the trip – his words were - we are going to have the most wonderfullest trip there ever was. I said I think so too. He is going to help with a present for John so that is going to be interesting I am sure. He said it was snowing in Portland while we were talking but it was going to be nice on Saturday. I said what are you doing right now and he said going to bed sort of subdued. He wanted to know what time it was in Hermiston – I told him the same as in Portland. I guess he was checking on my bedtime. What a character! Sometimes I cannot believe I am not dreaming or something. I am not sure how I got so lucky. |
