At 10:45 last night the phone rang and it was Mikey. He said he had been shopping for clothes. He said he could not describe them because he was going to wear them for Christmas. He said he was with his mom at a friend’s house. I asked him about getting out of school and he said he was going until Friday and then getting off for two weeks. He asked how many days until Friday and how much was seven and seven. He thought there was snow in Hermiston and he figured there would be some in Grants Pass. I thought it was rather extra ordinary that he was rambling around the neighborhood on a school night.
I am not sure about the work today. I would doubt that I was going to be very busy. Hopefully the business will not be at the end of the day. I need to get a basket for the renter. The car is pretty well cleared out. I need to write a Christmas letter and send out a couple of cards. I have not heard from that many people so I will probably just take care of those.
There were a few things going on today so I was not completely bored. I got a letter off to Nolan and a phone call from Joel. I sent an email to Michael’s mom and got an answer before the day was over. I guess they are going to be ready by Saturday. I have to let her know that I am staying at a motel and Mikey will probably be going swimming. I got a card and letter from Bobby. I got some cardio in and a few exercises. I did not walk and kept my food intake about the same. I will do better tomorrow.
I called Katie and got voice mail again. Then Annie and talked a while. She said that Mikey was taking a bath and would call me later. About thirty minutes later he called and we talked a little bit. He said they had a lot of fun at school today. They made some background for something. He said in Chess Club he won a ten-speed. I doubt if it was a bicycle. He said they were having a party on Friday with cookies and drinks. For lunch they were having chicken and stuff. I asked about his best friends and they were Patrick, Christopher, and Roman. He said just three. That really makes four. I wonder if they have two on a team. I will have to ask him about that. |
