My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

The night was pretty long. I just have not been sleeping that well here. I am sure there is just too much stress. What is today going to be like. Well, I guess go pick up Mikey and try to exchange his shoes. If not give them to someone else. What the hell. I need to leave the gifts tonight. They will probably swim again today. Mikey really does like to do that. Man, I hope he has a good year. I feel some apprehension about what lies ahead. I guess the choices are to come to Grants Pass or come with me. I really think he would be best here though I think the discipline is very lax. If Pam was in charge it might work.

I went by early and Mikey was waiting to take his shoes back. It was decided that John had to have goggles also. We went back the Big 5 and exchanged the shoes and then to the Motel for a couple hours in the water. We had lunch at McDonalds and back to MM’s for Mikey’s goggles. I stopped by Fred Meyer and put some money in Michael’s account. I have the number now and can sort of keep track of what goes on. Then to Big 5 to get John a set of goggles. Then back to the Motel and swimming for two and a half more hours. There were more people around and things were a little friskier and the guy did not come out and raise heck. Tom called and I headed to MM with the boys. I dropped them off and then to pick up the pizza and some salad and drinks. Mikey was drinking soda and eating a piece of pizza. We really had a good time wrestling and tickling one another this morning. He has warmed up to me that is for sure. The word from Annie was that Jonah and Katie were both on the way to GP. They were supposed to get here at six. No word from anyone however. There was an email from Annie that she had kicked them out of her house. So the thing gets more complicated. I will try to keep track of Mikey the best I can. I sneaked his presents in while he was asleep tonight. Man, it broke my heart his dad could not have enjoyed this Christmas with him. I am sure he is here and keeps nudging me on. This is one of the better Christmases for me in a long time. Man, I hope there are a lot more with Mikey right in the middle. Wes called and invited me out to their house for tomorrow. He seemed a little surprised that I was in GP. I guess he will understand or not care much one way of the other. As long as I have Mikey I don’t need anyone else.
