My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Sunday Mis-CalculationsDecember 30, 2007

The wind is howling this morning but the sky looks pretty clear. All I have to do is throw some junk in the car and take off for Portland. I hope this is a good trip and we have fun. That bedroom light has stopped working again. What a pain in the ass!  I am waiting for daylight so I can check on the condition of the roads. I emailed MM and filled her in on the detail for the Cush bench the latest on my end. Come to find out there was a burned out fuse for the lights in the bedroom

I got off in pretty good time and it was dry and windy. The further west I went the wetter it became. At Cascade Locks it was blustery. I called Mikey at The Dalles and he said he was about to call me. I called him at thirty minutes out and when I got in town he was ready to go. He has a hacking cough. I expect from the wet feet at GP. He told me that swimming was pretty much out and we went to McDonalds for lunch and play. We headed to the Roseland and found a parking place for ten bucks and hurried inside and then found our seats. After a shot of cotton candy and licorice we were back for the production. It was impressive. Robert called me and said he had a question and would call me later. We wandered at half time and then back to different seats that did not bother anyone. He was sitting with three teen-age girls who were whooping it up and he got right into it. Game over we hit for an exit and I am trying to keep track of him and remember everything. Suddenly everything was screwed up and Mikey without a coat. We wandered around and finally went back inside and ran onto some guy who was really concerned about us. He walked us around nothing. Then his wife showed up and we got in his car and started searching. We finally found it. I was so embarrassed and feeling dumb. Went to Annie and said we would take Mikey for a meal and check the motel out. No swimming. We went down 82nd Avenue looking for the Comfort Inn. Nothing. Out into that airport mess and decided I had better get Mikey something to eat and then take him home at eight thirty. Ask the people at the restaurant where Wasco street was. They didn’t know- come to find out the motel was across the street. What a dummy. Ate, took Mikey home and Katie was in the parking lot. Annie and Bernie had consumed three bottles of beer. Hmmmmmm. Anyway Mikey is going to call me at eight o’clock and we are going to spend some time together – I guess all day. And then when I came to connect the computer up the dad gum sprint would not even work. I finally got a cable from the front desk and hooked up. Wall-lah Internet!
