My daily thoughts and activities - to more or less help bring my thoughts together and maybe think things through better. It should be interesting to look at later.

Thursday Saw Rent CheckJanuary 17, 2008

The renter has not paid and it is throwing things into a bind. I have had to advance money out of the credit card account and I wanted to stop doing that and sort of catch up on that account. It is a real pain in the ass. It looks like they could at least give me a heads up when they were going to be late. I guess the truth is that they really cannot afford the house and I hate to go to the expense of finding another renter. It would really send me in a tailspin. I need to hit the lottery and get my breath again. I guess that it will take care of itself. It always has. I don’t think there is much up at the scale house. I need to work on the English account and see if I can make some sense out of that. It really needs to be organized someway. I wonder what Mikey will be up to today. He is a real kick in the pants. I like to keep reminding him that he is just like his dad. He is a good kid and sort of amazing considering the shit pile he came from.

I got an email off to MM and she answered back. Mostly about the little kids and what is going on. I think she was a little on the defense since I was commenting on how to interact with Ayden and John. The scale house has been pretty quiet. I got the English in and out charted. Tom was in a fairly talkative mood. I am not sure it is that good but at least it is sort of a handle on what we are doing.

Well, I got the rent. It was less than I expected but what the hell else is new? I’ll make do. It just pisses me off that it is a couple days late and they never said shit. I called Annie’s phone at seven ten and Mikey was taking a bath. He called me later around eight o’clock. He said he was listening to music. He checked that I was coming down next weekend. We decided that he was going to have a day off from school on Monday. I wished I could be down there and take him to a game or something different. He told me some things about Martin Luther King and now they are studying on weather, he knows all about temperature and the different cloud formations. I was impressed. He started a little yip but dropped it. It ended too soon.

I watched the video Four Sheets To The Wind about an Indian family in Oklahoma. It was a modern family that was sort of sad and probably true to life. I would give it five stars.
