It is another cool morning in the 20’s. I had trouble getting on line. I was dreaming of David and he was teaching a class in mechanics. I have had a series of dreams about teaching recently. It seems to be in a school of younger kids.

I do not expect too much activity at the scalehouse. There may be some hay hauled in but there are no containers that I know about. I feel fat and need to take a few pounds off. This is trash day and I need to finish the rest of the laundry. I should get the social security money today. I think there may be some issues in school that Mikey is not discussing with me. I hope that he is able to take care of the phone and uses it with some restraint. I will try to give him some training.

It has been a pretty slow day for business. They have hauled some hay from Cleaver but otherwise it has been pretty laid back. I got an email from MM not a lot to say but she was taking care of the little kids. Tom has been in twice but mostly running around. I think he is bored.

I guess I have some interesting news. I called Katie’s phone after work and got voicemail.  I called again at seven fifteen and after a few rings Katie answered the phone and said that she had received the card and was at that moment shopping for some groceries. She said if I wanted to talk to Mikey to call her mother. I called Annie and she answered and said that Mikey was out playing and that she would have him call when he came in. In about a half hour Joel called and during our conversation I heard another call coming in. I said good-by to Joel and answered the phone. It was Annie and she said that Mikey had been picked up by the police. Or rather he had told some people that he was homeless and they took him to the police. I was in shock. She said now about Saturday we have to go to Eugene. I said oh no. She said yes and if you want to see him you need to be here early we have to leave by nine oclock. I said no problem. She said do you want to talk to Mikey. I said sure. Mike came on and I asked him how he was and he said okay. I said do you want me to come down tomorrow after work and he said yes - very excited. I said okay I’ll leave right after work and I should be there by eight or eighty-thirty -is that okay. He said sure. I said okay I’ll see you tomorrow. He said yes. So the conversation ended.
