We had an interesting Sunday. Generally I think his health was somewhat better but continued to cough quite a bit. Mikey woke up pretty bushy tailed and for the first time sort of wanted me to roughhouse with him. He wanted to ride the skateboard to local deli store and then have a party. Hmm. The coffee was terrible but the bag of butterscotch disks turned into ammunition and took about an hour. We sort of messed around most of the morning – checked out some cap guns and some time in the park wandering and playing with some other kids most of the day. We ended at Chuckie Cheese and a good discussion about the school problems and how we were going to handle the cap guns. He was going to bow his back about them and then thought it over. I told him that I intended to hand the support money to him and he could give it to whomever he thought was taking care of him that week. He asked me why and I told him that it just insured I would probably see him every week that way. According to him his mom is probably going to move in with her girl friend and the move to California is still rather unsure but a possibility. He said Annie had found a house in Eugene and he didn’t seem to think he would move there. He was pretty open and frank about Grants Pass and Hermiston as possible places to spend time. He tried calling his mom several times and ended by his saying she is so dumb sleeping all day long. Again the phone is going to help in handling both his mom and Annie. He gave me a call before I had even left town. There is some more bull riding in Hermiston this weekend but we probably won’t begin talking about it until mid week. We both agreed there was no need to give it to his mom as leverage by talking about it too soon. However, if things do not go pretty smooth in school this week the chance of spending time together on the weekend is pretty slim. We will just have to see how things are going.  We had a good weekend and things are good.
