Today I will probably spend most of it with Mikey and John – maybe swimming or messing around some place. I am not sure they will not want to go back to the carnival. This evening there will be the barbeque with all the family and some of Michael’s friends. It should be interesting and I hope I make a good impression without making a big show.

John called at 8:30 and said to come over. I went over and we came back and swam until about 12:30 and then bowled for a while and came back to swim until 4:00. Picked up the pies. By the time we got there Tom had the hamburgers burned as well as the wieners. I bragged on his cooking and he beamed. All the other folks were there or eventually came. Mikey was out in the Toolies and did not participate much. John is rather obnoxious and gets on my nerves. I took Mikey and John to watch the fireworks and came back to the motel since tomorrow is an early morning
