Mother and Father of the world, we pray for the whole human family. Many nations are torn by war. Grant them peace and healing of their divisions.
Many communities are filled with crime. Grant them deliverance from fear and the hope of renewal.
Many families are divided by hate. Grant them unity and the blessing of love.
Many children are abandoned and afraid. Grant them someone who loves them and the promise of a future.Amen.

Mikey called me to come over at ten oclock. He and John came over and swam to about eleven thirty and I checked out of the motel. We grabbed a lunch at McDonalds and went to the bowling alley for one game. It was more or less a disaster. There were several suggestions what to do but we eventually ended up at Riverside Park. The boys played along the edge of the river until at about five when I needed to get some stuff together to head out. They were pretty dirty so we went to MM’s house and hosed off. Then to Aalbertson’s for a drink and a couple errands. Back to MM and sat around until six and time to leave. Mikey was okay but reluctant to leave. He immediately told me that I was number three of people he loved. Interesting. He sat on the console and talked a while until he got tired and laid down and went to sleep. He woke up long enough to get the support card and I told him I was going to mention the fire works. No problem. Katie met him and he was in good spirits. Annie came out and put on a show. I got home around one thirty and slept for five hours. All is good. |
