Sometimes we look for angels in our lives and wonder why they don’t seem close by. We must remember that the way to connect more easily with them is to 'do as angels do.'

Dear God, Open my eyes to the beauty of this day. The yellow of an egg yolk in a blue bowl. The scent of bacon frying in the pan. The soft caress of the morning breeze. The sound of children at play.  Awaken my senses. Let me see, hear, and feel the beauty around me. And be aware of the presence of the Great Artist in my everyday world.

It has been a so-so day for work. Mostly it was just routine stuff and then I was able to take a walk as well. I texted Katie that the bed was at WalMarts and I guess that Annie passed it on. I called Mikey and talked a while. He said he got the shirt and it was a little too big. Damn! I guess I am planning on going down on Saturday and staying until Monday. He seems to have his heart set on Portland so I plan to skip GP. I should drop MM a note and tell her the developments. I doubt if she is really expecting us since I have not heard from her for a while. Mikey said he was eating cereal and drinking milk and watching TV. So he was pretty busy. I listened to Hilary’s speech and she came out pretty strong for Obama.  I really think he has a pretty good chance of being elected. I have faith in the intelligence of most people. They can see that things have to change. We are in a mess. Katie sent me a message that she was going after the bed and I asked her to give me a call about visiting Mikey on Saturday.
